GUANGDONG customs has rolled out an online e-clearance scheme to reduce shipper costs, Xinhua reports.
Customs will encourage shippers to use the electronic tariff payment system to reduce time and cost and facilitate tariff payment and administration.
Customs will also implement pre-arrival or pre-departure price examination and categorisation prior for imports and exports and pre-arrival determination of origin for imports to enhance efficiency.
Shippers and forwarders are encouraged to use the one-stop customs clearance for transregional cargo. The enterprise credit categorising system will be widened. Companies with higher credit level can enjoy more simplified and faster clearance service.
The customs will also cooperate closer with foreign trade administration authorities and enterprises to offer greater convenience in contract approval and filing. Exclusive 24-hour clearance counter for small and tiny enterprises are also set up.
