SOUTHEAST China's Fujian province recently has issued a scheme on promoting modern logistics industry development. The province's logistics industry added value is expected to surpass CNY210 billion (US$33.64 billion), accounting for eight per cent or so of the provincial GDP and taking up over 20 per cent of the service industry in 2005, reports Xinhua.
From 2012 to 2015, Fujian province plans to build a number of logistics projects, namely logistics hub cities, logistics parks, logistics distribution centres, logistics service platforms, key logistics enterprises, manufacturing and logistics industry cooperation projects, business and logistics industry cooperation projects, and logistics technology promotion and application projects.
By the end of 2015, 80 per cent of the construction will be finished and put into service. The money spending in investment projects will stand at CNY50 billion and annual revenue of key logistics enterprises will exceed CNY80 billion.
