Greece's Thenamaris has reportedly changed an order for a 320,000-dwt VLCC at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) into a 180,000-dwt bulker.

Market sources say the Greek owner had originally ordered a capesize bulker at the Chinese yard but converted the bulker order into a VLCC two years ago, only to return to the original order recently.

At the same time, Thenamaris is said to have ordered one more capesize bulker, plus two optional units at the yard.

Newbuilding price is said to be around $46m each for the so-called Eco bulkers.
