The world largest Wood Chip Carrier built by China's Nantong Mingde Heavy Industry was successfully launched in the afternoon of 22 April 2013.

Compared with other similar bulk ships, this Wood Chip Carrier possess the characteristic of large capacity, high efficiency, environmental friendliness and energy saving, thus can reduce the transportation costs effectively, the shipyard said on the following day.

The successful launching of the First 4,700,000 C.F. Wood Chip Carrier was announced by Nantong Mingde, which was established in October 2004.

It is a fast-grow up private enterprise and its business engages mainly in shipbuilding and offshore engineering industry.
