TIANJIN hinterland dry ports posted a year-on-year 50 per cent increase in container volume to 180,000 TEU in the first eight months, reports Xinhua.
The container throughput handled by the city's dry ports is expected to reach 460,000 TEU in 2017.
At present, Tianjin has built 23 dry ports in hinterland including the ones in Hebei province's Shijiazhuang city, Inner Mongolia's Baotou city and Ningxia's Huinong district. It has also set up four regional marketing centres in Xian, Yinchuan, Inner Mongolia and Zhangjiakou.
