Anhui simplified customs rules now extended to 467 local enterprises

CUSTOMS at Hefei, the capital of Anhui province, revealed recently that by the end of 2013 a total of 467 enterprises that can now enjoy the convenience of the regional simplified customs clearance, reports Xinhua. 

The regional customs clearance is a kind of cross-customs clearance mode of apanage declaration, port verification, which has further simplified customs clearance, reduced both cost and time spent.
The Hefei Customs has further enhanced its cooperation with Shanghai, Nanjing, Ningbo and Hangzhou Customs since 2012 when it has joined the Yangtze River Delta Customs Clearance Cooperation Network.
At that time, importers and exporters in Anhui province could enjoy the regional customs clearance service at almost all the major customs stations at coastal and border cities.
The Hefei Customs handled 17.18 million tonnes of import and export cargo in 2013, with a total value of US$16.24 billion, representing 67 per cent and 45.5 per cent year-on-year increase respectively.
While the declaration forms of import/export goods were under the regional customs clearance mode of apanage declaration, port verification increased 54.89 per cent year on year to 16,000.
