Eight Chinese ports and shipping companies have signed letters of intent with Global Shipping Business Network (GSBN) to develop a blockchain-based technology and operations system.

The eight Chinese parties include Guangzhou Port Group, Fujian Provincial Port Group, Zhejiang Haigang Investment and Operation Group, Jiangsu Provincial Port Group, Anhui Provincial Port & Shipping Group, Shandong Provincial Port Group, Tianjin Port and Cosco Shipping Hainan Harbor & Shipping.
It is another milestone for GSBN establishing the cooperation with eight Chinese industry players, which is also an innovated model to jointly develop digitized shipping business.

GSBN launched its first paperless application Cargo Release in July, which has been widely used in the areas run by the eight parties.
