HONG Kong's Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has released a fraud warning after observing an increase of fraudulent activities.

OOCL declared that fraudsters can hack email accounts and cheat victims to make remittances.
The fake email appears to use OOCL name via email correspondences, informing the victim to change the payment receiving bank account number.
The e-mail appears to be sent from OOCL employees but is actually sent from unauthorised personnel from various suspicious email addresses.
If you receive any email related to bank account changes, do not hesitate to call OOCL's local representatives for verification.
Amongst them, the implementation of a norm that establishes guidelines for partnerships with the port community and public and private agents in the region.
