The 7th biennial International Shipbuilding, Ports and Marine Equipment Exposition for China（Shiptec China) will be held Oct 26 to Oct 28 at the Dalian World Expo Center in Northeast China’s Liaoning province.

Dalian officials said 845 booths have been reserved by 389 domestic and international exhibitors from 20 countries and regions. The fair is expected to attract more than 400 exhibitors and 15,000 professional visitors in the 25,000-square meter exhibition area.

Main exhibits will showcase the world latest technologies and achievements in shipbuilding, vessels, ports, marine engineering, technology and services. A special visit to the Dalian shipyard is planned, in additions to forums and seminars.

China, South Korea, Japan, Norway, Denmark and Finland will host six state-level pavilions at the fair ground. The Korean Pavilion, consisting of 82 booths from 45 companies, will be the largest.

Nine 10 members of the International Association of Classification Societies will attend. They are the China Classification Society, Korean Register of Shipping, GL from German, NK from Japan, RINA from Italy, DNV from Norway, ABS from the United States, BV from France and RS from Russia.

Founded in 1992, the exhibit is widely recognized as the largest and most influential marine expo in China.
