'Shiptec China 2010', the 7th International Shipbuilding, Ports and Marine Equipment Exhibition for China, sponsored by the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, the China Shipowners' Association, and the Chinese Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers among others, held an opening ceremony today at the Dalian World Expo Center in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China.

Shiptec China 2010, continuing until October 28th, the new brand formerly called Shiport China, is dedicated to continuously serving the maritime industry since the year of 2010. The mission of Shiport China, established in 1998 and developed through the past twelve years, will be carried on.

In the year of 2010, the 7th Shiptec China has attracted over 700 exhibitors, and 15,000 professional visitors to the event. Six national pavilions opened at this year's exhibition, including China, Korea, Japan, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

The exhibition area covers 25,000m² and it aims to be the largest marine exhibition in the Northeast Asia region in 2010.

Exhibition categories include shipbuilding, ship equipments, offshore engineering, ports & logistics and marine technology.
