PORT of Zhenjiang in east China's Jiangsu province recently handled the largest foreign cargo ship ever since it started operations.
The Panama-registered 94,400-tonne bulk carrier Welview vessel is 246 metres long, 42 metres wide, larger than a football pitch. It has a draught of 13.3 metres. It carried 34,000 tonnes of iron ore from Ningbo's Beilun port area, according to Xinhua's report.
The port handled another large ship, the Malta-flagged 4,000-TEU Taurus in February.
