JAPAN's biggest carrier, NYK, has announced it will partner with CSCL, Hapag-Lloyd, and "K" Line to upgrade the South Africa-West Africa Express service (SWAX) with additional calls at China's Xiamen and Malaysia's Port Kelang.
Replacing NYK's current joint service with Nile Dutch Africa Line, the new 77-day round-trip fixed weekly SWAX service will deploy eleven 2,500-TEU ships and call at Shanghai, Ningbo-Zhoushan, Xiamen, Shenzhen-Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Durban, Tema, Lome, Cotonou, Lagos-Tincan and back to Durban, Port Kelang, Singapore and Shanghai. The service will start from Shanghai on August 23.
