MEISHAN terminal, at eastern China's Ningbo port, recorded a container throughput of 423,500 TEU at the end of the first year since it started operation in August 2010, Xinhua reports. In July, the terminal's monthly throughput hit 51,970 TEU, rising 12.3 per cent over June. The terminal now offers shipping routes to Korea, Japan, Latin America and Russia, offering about 140 sailings per month.
