Far East inaugurates first regional customs & logistics terminal

The first in the Far East customs and logistics terminal (TLT) was commissioned on November 30 in Blagoveshchensk, the city customs press office said.
RFP Group has invested in the project RUB 225 million. The facility construction began in 2007, including an international road and river state border crossing and customs control point "Blagoveshchensk – Haihe,” a temporary-storage warehouse (TSW) located on the territory of CJSC Commercial port of Blagoveshchensk, member of Amur Shipping Company (part of RFP Group).
Experts predict a 1.5 times growth in coal exports by 2014 (from 2010’s figures) through the border crossings "Blagoveshchensk - Heihe" ( China), "Blagoveshchensk - Jiaying" (China), "Poyarkovo- Jiayin (China), "Poyarkovo - Heihe" (China), container imports may jump to 30,000 units in 2014 (from 500 boxes in 2010) through Blagoveshchensk – Haihe border crossing point.
Port of Blagoveshchensk is one of the largest river ports of the Russian Far East. The port is located at the intersection of the Amur waterway with Transbaikal Railroad, highway, airway, in proximity to the Russian border with China. Throughput of the port is more than 1 million tons of different cargoes a year.
