The China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC)'s subsidiary Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard signed a newbuilding contract with CRCC Harbour & Channel Engineering Bureau Group to build a 5,000m³/h cutter suction dredger on November 9.

The dredger, 103m in length, 21m in breadth, 6.3m in height and 4.5m in draft, is the largest newbuilding ever for Guangzhou Wenchong to build.

The Chinese shipyard will apply high-end technology to the newbuilding.
Meanwhile, an executive from CSSC asked Guangzhou Wenchong to successfully complete the project and make a long-lasting cooperation with shipowner, design company and classification society.
