THE Singapore-flagged 1,147-TEU Asiatic Neptune has inaugurated the upgraded Intra Asia Service-Chu Lai Express Service (CLX) calling at Shenzhen's DaChan Bay Terminals.

As the last port of call in China, the Asiatic Neptune sails for Vietnam after loading and discharging. CLX is operated by the Gold Star Line, calling DaChan Bay Terminals from August 2020.
The new CLX is an unique service with super short transit time for the export cargo from south China to Vietnam-Chu Lai (one day), Da Nang (two days) and Haiphong (four days).
CLX offers fast transit times and more choices for shippers between Vietnam and China. This service further enriches DaChan Bay Terminals' intra-Asia export coverage, said the port operator, Modern Terminals.
The CLX service calls DaChan Bay Terminals every Monday with a port rotation of Shanghai, DaChan Bay, Chu Lai, Da Nang, Haiphong, Yantian and back to Shanghai.
DaChan Bay Terminals (DaChan Bay) is situated in the West Shenzhen Port area. It is the newest international container terminal serving the Pan-Pearl River Delta cargo catchment areas. It is also an important vehicle import port in South China.
DaChan Bay covers an area of 112 hectares with five berths along its quay of 1,830 metres long and 600 metres wide. Its water depth alongside is -16.3 metres and will eventually be dredged to 18 metres, allowing DaChanBay to accommodate the world's largest container vessels and ro-ro vessels.
