Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) in China has won more 206,000-dwt bulker newbuildings.

Greek owner Polembros Shipping has exercised options for two 206,000-dwt bulkers at SWS, a major subsidiary of CSSC.

The company earlier booked two of the so-called Newcastlemax bulkers in August. Newbuilding brokers think they are costing around $53m each.

Sources say the owner is scheduled to take delivery of the quartet from the state-owned yard in 2013. Company adviser David Gare confirms the new orders.
